𝙃𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧!!!! 𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧??

By Man’s declared traditions and customs, Man has decreed many different days to celebrate the New Year. Those who adhere to Man’s Gregorian calendar celebrate New Year’s on the 1st of January; many others celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year which this year is on 22 January 2023; while the Islamic New Year is observed by most Muslims on the first day of the month of Muharram - 19 July 2023. Those of secular Jewish faith celebrate their New Year called Rosh Hashanah, a two-day observance that begins on the first day of Tishrei, which is the seventh month of the ecclesiastical year which this year is from 15-17 September 2023. There are many other New Year days declared by Man: Aboriginal Murador (30 October), Assyrian (1 April), Balinese (3 March), Cambodian (14-16 April), Eastern Orthodox (14 January), Ethiopian (11 September), Hindu (22 March), Iranian (21-22 March), Islamic (19 July), Marwari and Gugarati (26 October), Mongolian (1 February), Sri Lankan (13-14 April), etc. (read more here)

Man has devised many different methods of accounting for the days, weeks, and months of his version of a year, resulting in numerous calendars - read here. In addition to these calendars, Man has created many other calendars based on Man's interpretation of religious writings and cultural traditions.

• In Western Christianity, the Christian or liturgical New Year calendar starts on the fourth Sunday before Christmas day, December 25th. The first Sunday of the New Year is usually referred to as Advent Sunday and in year 2023 is on 3 December (read here & here). There are many other similar variants of the Christian calendar: General Roman calendar, Syro-Malabar calendar, Eastern Orthodox calendar, Lutheran calendar, Anglican calendars, etc.
• The Hebrew, Jewish, or Rabbinic calendar is a lunisolar calendar that uses the vernal equinox and is mathematically calculated under a system of rules of postponement devised by Hillel II (read here & here). In year 2023 the ecclesiastical New Year begins on 5 April and the civil New Year begins on 15 September (read here). There are different Jewish sects that have different calendars: Karaite calendar, Samaritan calendar, Qumran calendar, Enoch calendar, Essene/Dead Sea Scroll calendar, Conjunction/Dark Moon calendar, etc.

As illustrated above in confusing detail, Man's declared New Year's Day(s) and associated calendars are so numerous that one would ponder which calendar is true to the Word of God and should be followed. "For God is not the author of confusion" (1 Corinthians 14:33) that He provided "the word of the truth of the gospel" (Colossians 1:5) and "sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him" (1 John 4:9) if you just believe in Him and followed the example He set.

𝗗𝗼 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗜𝘀?

Most don’t know when God’s declared New Year Day is. Most religious intuitions and faith leaders also don’t know of God’s Declared New Year Day or if they do, they don’t announce or celebrate it – ask yourself Why?

If you read and know the Bible, God’s declared New Year Day is revealed in its texts:

This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. (Exodus 12:2)

This day came ye out in the month Abib. (Exodus 13:4)

Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the Lord thy God: for in the month of Abib the Lord thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night. (Deuteronomy 16:1)

The Truth reveals that the first MONTH of the YEAR is called Abib (Exodus 12:2 Exodus 13:4). Abib means grain in the ear, just ripening (Exodus 9:31 Leviticus 2:14). The ripening of the grain is associated with springtime in Israel and when associated with the first visible appearance of the New Moon, it provides a clear sign to "observe" (Deuteronomy 16:1) the proper New Moon to start the first MONTH of the New YEAR (read more about a month - here). 

God’s appointed time for the start of the Day (Genesis 1:5), the observance of a new Month (Deuteronomy 16:1), or the beginning of the New Year (Exodus 12:2) has always been “…in the place which the Lord shall choose to place his name there.” (Deuteronomy 16:2) There is only one place on this Earth that God has chosen:

• • “A land which the Lord thy God careth for: the eyes of the Lord thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.” (Deuteronomy 11:12) 
  • “…the Lord said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.” (2 Kings 21:4)
  • “...whereof the Lord had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.” (2 Chronicles 33:4)
  • “For the Lord hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.” (Psalm 132:13)
  • “…the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem…” (Revelation 3:12). 

Using solely the Word of God, God's declared New Year Day, the first day of the first month of the new year, is determined by observing the initial appearance of the crescent new moon, God's "faithful witness in heaven" (Psalm 89:37), nearest the ripening of the barley crop in close proximity of Jerusalem; with a Day as defined as beginning at sunset and ending at sunset ~24 hours later (Genesis 1:5).

During the time of Jesus, the authoritative body that made the determination of the day of the new month or new year was the religious class in charge of the Temple and their decision was made after two credible witnesses would testify that they had seen the new moon. The religious class at the time of Jesus was called the Sanhedrin made up of a tribunal council of elders composed predominantly of two main groups, the Pharisees and Sadducees (Matthew 16:11); having religious, civil, and criminal jurisdiction over the Jews - their authority traces back to Numbers 11:16 and Deuteronomy 16:18. In the time of Moses, "the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets" (Numbers 10:8) "in the beginnings of your months" (Numbers 10:10) provides further insight into the observance of the sliver of the crescent new moon signifying the beginning of a new month. 

Jesus, the Son of God, is without sin (1 John 3:5, 1 Peter 2:22). In order for this Truth, God had to intercede and ensure His "precepts, statutes, and laws" (Nehemiah 9:14) were adhered to by the people of Jesus's time. Jesus, as a child, was circumcised on the eighth day (Luke 2:21) not by His choice or actions, but by the "inspired" choice of His parents, Joseph and Mary, to fulfill the will of God as written (Genesis 17:9-14, Leviticus 12:3). Jesus, as a child, adhered to the sabbaths and feasts of the Lord not by His choice or actions, but by the "inspired" choice of His parents, Joseph and Mary, to fulfill the will of God as written (Leviticus 23). For Jesus, as a child and later as an adult, to adhere to the sabbaths and feasts of the Lord (Leviticus 23), meant the religious leaders of Jesus's time had to determine correctly the proper days to observe God's Holy Days on, which validates the observance of the New Moon as prescribed in the Bible to determine new months and years. If you Walk with Christ and follow His ways, there should be no confusion as to the method to determine new months and years to observe God's declared Holy Days at His appointed times. Understand: Only by observing and following God's declared New Months and New Year can one know the True appointed time to observe God's Holy Days and not violate His "precepts, statutes, and laws".

𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗜n Man's Year 2023 I𝘀 When?

The exact date and time of God's declared New Month of the New Year is not known with certainty as both the ripeness of barley and the appearance of the crescent new moon proximate to Jerusalem must be observed first. There are many internet sites that display the phases of the moon and a few others that provide predictions on when the crescent new moon might be visible. Current predictions indicate God's declared New Year Day, the first day of the first month of the new year might start on 22 March 2023 at 17:51 Israel Standard Time (IST) and end on 23 March 2023 at 17:52 IST - remember both the ripeness of barley and the appearance of the crescent new moon MUST be observed first.

The Choice of which New Year's Day and which calendar You follow is Yours alone to make. As with every Choice and everything in Life, evaluate your decisions with prayerful thought and attention to the Bible. Above all, “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
