The sliver of the crescent New Moon was observed in Israel on evening of 11 March 2024 just after sunset (read here, here, and here). The sighting of the New Moon coupled with the evaluation of barley maturity (read below) makes the first day of the thirteenth month of the Biblical New Year from sunset as observed from Jerusalem, Israel on 11 March to the sunset on 12 March 2024.
Below is a calendar that reflects God’s appointed Holy Days (Leviticus 23, Numbers 28-29) based on the confirmed observation of the New Moon within Israel by more than two witnesses. Take it upon yourself to prove and validate these appointed Holy Days yourself, to "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
Barley Maturity
As the end of the Twelfth Month of the Biblical New Year nears, an evaluation of barley maturity is performed in the land of Israel. The ripeness of barley in close proximity to Jerusalem, in the spring time, and the appearance of the crescent new moon, must both be observed to declare the Biblical New Year.
As I am not located in Israel, I use the internet to search for pictures and commentary about the maturity of barely. There are many websites that this information can be found, however, one must discern the Truth of the information presented and attempt to prove its validity. Remember: "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). To discern the Truth, one must search and read very critically the texts within the Bible. By verifying what is within the Bible against the pictures, commentary, and varied ideology found on different websites, one can hopefully avoid being led astray. Read this previous post for further information.
The most compelling statement discovered was a comment in a video (https://web.facebook.com/groups/biblicalcalendarsociety/posts/747939600647848/) at timeframe 3:14, where it was stated that the maturity of observed barley was “…much more advanced than anything that I saw in the Jerusalem area.” see pictures below:
The next New Moon is predicted to be visible in Israel on 9 April 2024, just after sunset. You can review predictive data and illustrative charts on multiple websites, some listed below at:
Moon Sighting UK Crescent Visibility Maps provides monthly Moon Sighting UK
In-The-Sky.org provides Moon ephemeris data
Israeli Society for the View of the New Moon or the Biblical Calendar Society
If you desire to use real-time simulated data to observe the predicted New Moon cycle, it is available in a program called Stellarium. Stellarium is free to download and use.
