Many will question, New Year? What New Year? Never heard of a New Year starting in the month of March on Man's created Gregorian calendar.

Man has declared 1 January to be New Year's Day and it is celebrated world-wide starting at midnight with extensive media coverage.  Massive and magnificent fireworks displays are hosted in most major world cities and streamed live worldwide for the entire world to see, usually for an entire 24 hour period. The New York City’s Times Square New Year's Eve Ball drop at midnight is famous, a global tradition, and known to most people of the world. The revelry and parties are notorious for excessiveness.

The Chinese designate their own New Year celebrations and it begins on Man's created Gregorian calendar on 12 February 2021 and ends 26 February with the Lantern Festival. The first 7 days of their New Year celebrations are considered public holidays. The Chinese New Year is named after zodiac signs, involves lucky money, unique decorations, massive fireworks, and good fortune practices that are celebrated globally by many.

So what is the Truth about the Biblical New Year?

The Bible reveals that God’s designated Biblical New Year begins today 14 March 2021, on Man's created Gregorian calendar, at sunset as observed in Jerusalem, Israel.

This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. (Exodus 12:2)

This day came ye out in the month Abib. (Exodus 13:4)

The first month of the year is called Abib. Abib means grain (barely) in the ear, just ripening (Exodus 9:31 Leviticus 2:14). The ripening of the grain is associated with springtime in Israel and when associated with the first visible appearance of the new moon, it provides a clear sign of the proper new moon to start the first month of the Biblical New Year in.

The new moon occurred on Saturday, 13 March 2021 at 10:21 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) or at 12:21 Israel Standard Time (IST) at Jerusalem, Israel. The first visible crescent of the new moon will be observable at the sunset (15:46 UTC) of 14 March 2021 in Jerusalem, Israel, making the first day of the month of Abib of the Biblical New Year from sunset of 14 March to sunset of 15 March. Understand the Bible defines a Day as from sunset to sunset.

The importance of knowing the first day of the month Abib of the Biblical New Year is ALL Holy Days, Sabbaths, festivals are determined from its proper placement on God's Biblical calendar.
