With receipt of the new BSP threaded seacock and adapter we attempted to installed them on the Isotherm 3751 ASU SP sea water cooled refrigeration heat exchanger / galley sink discharge 1 1/4 inch thru hull.  First problem encountered was caused by limited access to fit a wrench on the thru hull - the thru hull turned within the hull structure most likely breaking the seal the old sealant provided.  So the large nut securing the thru hull was removed and the thru hull gently pushed out of the hull exposing the old sealant.

The old sealant was removed from the thru hull threads with a wire brush and also removed from the hull/hole.  Both exterior and interior surfaces were sanded flush and were painted with a layer of Interlux InterProtect HS Epoxy Primer.  The thru hull was than dry fitted to confirm it sat flush against the hull.

Applied 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant Fast Cure 4200 to the hole surface and thru hull; installed the thru hull and torqued the nut tight.  Next installed the seacock and straight hose adapter - it looked like everything was a smooth fit.

Next attempted to install the 1.5-inch Trident 134-112 Heavy Duty Engine Intake Water & Heater Hose but due to the added length of the seacock and hose adapter the hose was now binding against the galley sink cabinet shelf wood brace. The only option was to trim the cabinet shelf wood brace to accommodate the hose.

Not satisfied with the fit of the galley sink drain hose, ordered and received both 45 and 90 degree hose adapters.

During installation attempts of these different angled hose adapters discovered I could not have them full tight on the seacock, as they pointed in unacceptable angle that the hose would not fit properly.  So the straight hose adapter was re-installed with the new hose with clamps.

Last item installed was the new zinc anode on the exterior of the thru hull.
