We needed a manually inflated PFD for our daughter as she was not old enough or big enough for a inflatable PFD. We also needed backup PFDs if our adult inflatable PFDs had issues and a few extra PFDs if we had guests aboard. We selected four MV8040 Mustang 4-One Adult SOLAS Life Jackets at cost of $66.59 each and one MV8035 Mustang 4-One Child SOLAS Life Jacket at cost of $59.39. These were ordered on 29 March 2015 and shipped to our balikbayan box consolidator and forwarder Manila Forwarder in Los Angles, California and received there on 29 April 2015. These were shipped to our location in Naga City, Cebu and received on 10 July 2015. Each life jacket came equipped with a whistle and the MV8035 Mustang 4-One Child SOLAS Life Jacket had the last ACR C-Strobe H2O Personal Distress Strobe Light attached to it. The spare life jackets were stowed in the forward starboard hanging locker.
Under the website heading Warranty & Repair -- Product Inspection - Flotation Products the instructions specify an annual visual inspection be performed to verify no damage and cleanliness. An annual check was added to our master tracking list of Periodic Maintenance Requirements.
